GT vs RCB: Who won yesterday's match in IPL 2024?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by nine wickets in yesterday's IPL 2024 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sent into bat, GT put up 200-3. RCB romped home in 16 overs as Will Jacks clobbered 100* off 41, while Virat Kohli returned unbeaten on 70 off 44.

Jacks and Kohli combined in a sensational second-wicket stand of 166* as Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered their second consecutive win in IPL 2024. While Jacks clobbered five fours and 10 sixes in his amazing innings, Kohli struck six fours and three sixes in a sublime knock.

Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis (24 off 12) added 40 for the first wicket in quick time. The partnership ended when Du Plessis struck a short of length delivery from Sai Kishore to deep midwicket. Kohli slammed the left-arm spinner for consecutive sixes in the sixth over as RCB ended the powerplay at 63-1.

Kohli and Jacks enjoyed each other's company in the middle. Jacks reached his fifty in the 15th over with a six off Mohit Sharma over deep midwicket. The over also saw Jacks clubbing the GT pacer for two more maximums, apart from two fours.

Jacks went from 72 to 100 by walloping Rashid Khan for four sixes and a four in the 16th over, bringing down the curtains on the contest in sensational fashion. Jacks' hundred and RCB's winning runs came via a maximum launched over deep midwicket.


Sai Sudharsan, Shahrukh Khan heroics in vain for GT

Batting first, Gujarat Titans managed an impressive score of 200-3. The start for GT was not convincing, as both openers perished cheaply.

Wriddhiman Saha (5) was caught at short third man off Swapnil Singh. Shubman Gill (16) was brilliantly caught at long-on by Cameron Green as he attempted to take on comeback man Glenn Maxwell.

Sai Sudharsan (84* off 49) and Shahrukh Khan (58 off 30), though, lifted Gujarat Titans, adding 86 for the third wicket. Sudharsan continued his impressive form, striking eight fours and four sixes.

Shahrukh also made his batting promotion count, slamming three fours and five sixes in his maiden IPL fifty. Following Shahrukh's dismissal, David Miller (26* off 19) played a handy cameo.

Jacks scored a sensational hundred for RCB, lifting them to a memorable win. Kohli chipped in with another fine knock.

For GT, Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh scored quickfire half-centuries. Jacks, though, was named the Player of the Match for his spectacular 41-ball 100*.
