“Having good time with youngster” - Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jaiswal relax in Adelaide following early finish of 2nd 2024-25 BGT Test

Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to social media to post a picture with Yashasvi Jaiswal enjoying their time in Adelaide after the early conclusion of the second 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test on Monday, December 9. The 36-year-old all-rounder was sidelined in the first two games but is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming matches of the series.

On the other hand, after his match-winning 161-run knock in India's second innings of the first Test, Jaiswal faced difficulties in the pink-ball Test, managing scores of 0 and 24 across both innings.

On Monday, Jadeja took to Instagram to post a picture with Jaiswal at Rundle Mall in Adelaide, captioning it:

“Having good time with youngster.”

Meanwhile, the visitors were below par in the second game, dismissed for 180 in their first innings, with Nitish Kumar Reddy top-scoring with 42 runs. Mitchell Starc was the standout bowler for Australia, claiming six wickets.

In response, Travis Head starred for the hosts, scoring 140 as Australia posted 337 runs in their first innings. The visitors faced another difficult outing in their second innings, getting bowled out for 175 and setting a modest target of 19 runs. Australia won the match by 10 wickets within three days, leveling the series at 1-1.


Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored the second-most runs in Tests in 2024

While young Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal faced difficulties in the second Test of the 2024-25 BGT, he has had an exceptional year in Test cricket.

In 13 matches, the 22-year-old has accumulated 1,304 runs at an average of 54.33, including seven fifties and three centuries. He ranks second to England's Joe Root, who has scored 1,470 runs in 16 Tests, with six centuries to his name.

Overall, the Mumbai cricketer has featured in 16 Test matches, accumulating 1,592 runs at an average of 54.89, including eight fifties and four centuries.
