"He's still got the six-hitting ability" - Michael Hussey predicts MS Dhoni's IPL future

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey has revealed his stunning take on MS Dhoni's future amid all the speculations. The 47-year-old has earmarked the CSK captain to play for another five years.

While many fans and experts believe the ongoing IPL season is Dhoni's last, the keeper-batter has kept his cards closed. The lap of honour during CSK's final game at the Chepuak strongly hinted that it could be his last edition.

Meanwhile, Hussey has no doubts about Dhoni's finishing ability and that he is still motivated to come to training. As quoted by news agency PTI, the Australian said:

"He's still batting very well, is still motivated to coming into training and working on his game and hitting the ball well. We've seen he comes late in the innings and finishes things well. He's still got the six-hitting ability, while he's enjoying it and is contributing to the team then there is no reason why he can't keep going for maybe another five years."

Although Dhoni has managed only 98 runs in 13 games, he has maintained a strike rate of 196. The former Indian captain has also been sharp behind the stumps.

"It's been well documented that his knee has not been a 100 per cent" - Michael Hussey

Michael Hussey has admitted that MS Dhoni's knee issue means he doesn't want to bat in the middle overs and hence, prefers to bat at death. The former Aussie great added:

"I think it's pretty clear that he likes to come in9 the last few overs, that's his plan. It's been well documented that his knee has not been a 100 per cent and he's trying to get through the matches as best as he can throughout the tournament. So I think, he doesn't want to come in the 10th, 11th or 12th over and have to run those quick doubles all the time, that's going to put pressure on the knee
