“I bowl faster than you” – Mitchell Starc warns ex-KKR teammate Harshit Rana after being hit on gloves by bouncer in 1st IND vs AUS BGT 2024-25 Test
Australia ace pacer Mitchell Starc warned India debutant and his former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Harshit Rana on Day 2 (Saturday, November 23) of the first Test in Perth. The reaction came after Starc was hit on the gloves by a bouncer while batting against Rana in the morning session.
Extra bounce troubled Starc on numerous occasions. The southpaw was also hit on the helmet during Rana's fiery spell.
The incident happened in the 30th over of Australia’s first innings. The ball climbed sharply after pitching before taking an edge of the gloves and falling short of the second slip. It was a similar delivery that dismissed Virat Kohli on Day 1.
Starc exchanged a few words with Rana, saying:
“I bowl faster than you. I’ve got a long memory.”
