Former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath has penned an emotional note for his late father Kevin on Instagram. Kevin McGrath passed away earlier this month following a battle with illness.
Glenn mentioned how his father treated everyone with respect and also had a friendly nature. Sharing more details about his personal life, the former Australian pacer wrote that his father worked as a farmer and loved his land. He always looked up to his father and aspired to be like him.
Earlier today, Glenn McGrath uploaded five photos of his father on Instagram. Here are some parts of the long caption that he wrote:
"My father was an amazing person. Someone who I always looked up to & aspired to be like. He was a strong man, physically & mentally, who had good values, a great work ethic, treated everyone with respect, friendly & was just a really good person."
Sharing how his father's positivity helped him in his career, Glenn added:
"He was always positive & people felt better within themselves after chatting with him. I could call him from anywhere in the world & instantly my mind would be put at ease & l’d feel less homesick."
McGrath concluded by saying that he will always remember his father as a farmer, who would have his work clothes and hat on, ride a motorbike and muster sheep with a UHF radio across his chest.
