"He's always going to do well, he's just that kind of player" - RR head coach Kumar Sangakkara on Dhruv Jurel

In an interview with ANI News after Jurel's Test selection, RR head coach Kumar Sangakkara shed light on the youngster's work ethic and opined that he would do well. The Sri Lankan legend stated:

"Firstly, his work ethic and his demeanor. He understands pressure, he came last season in one of the most difficult positions and scored so many runs for us. An absolute match winner in the short format but this is a really good test of his technique, character, and application being in the Test side. He's always going to do well, he's just that kind of player."

So far, Jurel has played 19 FC games and scored 791 runs at an average of 46.47, including a double-century and five half-centuries. He has taken 34 catches and effected two stumpings while keeping the wickets.
