"I have seen this before, It's a classic"- Top 10 funny memes after 1st innings of 3rd India vs Sri Lanka ODI

Sri Lanka managed to score 248/7 in the first innings of the third ODI against India on Wednesday, August 7, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The hosts currently lead the three-match series by 1-0, as one of the matches ended in a tie.

Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka won the toss and opted to bat first for the third consecutive match in this series. Pathum Nissanka (45) and Avishka Fernando (96) provided a solid platform for the hosts with an opening partnership of 89 runs in 19.5 overs. Axar Patel dismissed Nissanka in the 20th over to give India a much-needed breakthrough.

Avishka continued fluently at the other end in the company of Kusal Mendis. However, he departed in the 36th over, just four runs short of a well-deserved century. Sri Lanka's innings got derailed after the wicket as they collapsed from 171/1 to 191/6 in a few overs of play.

Kusal Mendis (59) and Kamindu Mendis (23) played sensibly in the death overs and took their side to a decent total of 248/7. Debutant Riyan Parag (3/54) was the pick of the Indian bowlers.

"First 25 overs, there wasn't one bit of turn" - India all-rounder Riyan Parag after his 3-wicket haul in 3rd ODI vs Sri Lanka

During the mid-innings break, India all-rounder Riyan Parag reflected on the action that unfolded in the first innings and his bowling performance, saying (via Cricbuzz):

"A little disappointed, I could have given 10-15 runs less. It was turning in the back end. First 25 overs, there wasn't one bit of turn. If it had stayed that way, the score could have been close to 300. After 25 overs, it started to turn and it's a pretty good score."

He continued:

"We pulled it back in the middle overs. 240-odd was a great effort by the boys. (When asked if he will bat at six) I am yet to know that, I am hoping somewhere around that."
