ICC CWC League 2: Full schedule, squads, match timings, and live-streaming details
The next leg of the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) League 2 is set to take place from October 25 to November 4 at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston. The competition forms part of the qualification process for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The eight-team competition has already kicked off in February 2024 and will run until December 2026.
Each country will host three series and play six away series, amounting to a total of 36 games. The top four teams will enter the World Cup Qualifiers, while the bottom four teams play Challenge League. The latter involves 12 teams, and the top four will advance to the World Cup Qualifier Playoff.
The Qualifiers is a 10-team event, which sees participation from two bottom-ranked Full Members in the ODI rankings. They will be joined by the top four teams from CWC League 2 and the top four teams from the World Cup Qualifier Playoff. Hence, the teams playing the CWC League 2 will have two opportunities to qualify for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
So far, 36 games have been played in the CWC League 2, with six nations having hosted the tournament. Canada are at the top of the table with eight victories in 12 games. Meanwhile, the USA and the Netherlands are second and third, respectively with six victories in eight games.
Each leg witnesses participation from three teams, making it a tri-series contest. This leg will see the USA, Nepal, and Scotland locking horns against each other. As per the schedule, six games are slated to take place at the venue.
