Australia captain Pat Cummins and India skipper Jasprit Bumrah joined cricket legends Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar for a photo on Friday, November 22. The quartet posed for a picture ahead of the opening day's play in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy's first Test in Perth.
Named after the cricket legends of both nations, the series began in the 1996-97 season and has since featured 16 editions. Australia have won five times, while India has triumphed on 10 occasions, with one series ending in a draw. India have won the last four series, including two in Australia.
On Friday, Gavaskar and Border were present for the toss at the opening game of the BGT 2024-25 and later joined the team captains for a picture.

Sunil Gavaskar represented India in 125 Tests, scoring 10,122 runs at an average of 51.12, with 45 fifties and 34 centuries. Meanwhile, Allan Border played 156 Tests for Australia, amassing 11,174 runs at an average of 50.56, including 63 half-centuries and 27 centuries.
India loses two early wickets after opting to bat first on Day 1 of the BGT 2024-25 1st Test
India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and chose to bat first, with Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy making their debuts for India, while Nathan McSweeney earned his first cap for Australia.
The visitors had a tough start, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck off eight balls and Devdutt Padikkal for a duck off 23 balls. At the time of writing, India were 18-2 after 13 overs, with KL Rahul on 12 and Virat Kohli yet to open his account.
