Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was spotted in Perth with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika ahead of the eagerly awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), which begins on November 22. Kohli was earlier seen with his family at Mumbai Airport on Saturday, November 9.
Kohli was reported to be the first Indian cricketer to arrive in Australia ahead of the BGT. However, the seasoned batter skipped the optional training session on Tuesday, November 12, while teammates KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen practicing in the nets.

Kohli's last appearance was during the series against New Zealand, where the star batter had a disappointing performance. He managed just 93 runs across six innings as India suffered a 3-0 whitewash in the series.

“I got no concerns whatsoever for Rohit and Virat. I think they are incredibly tough men and they have achieved a lot for Indian cricket and will continue to do so. My role is to ensure that their hunger is still there and they continue to work really hard," Gambhir said.
Kohli has an exceptional record against Australia in Tests, amassing 2,042 runs in 25 matches at an average of 47.48, with five half-centuries and eight centuries. Meanwhile, Rohit has scored 708 runs in 12 Tests, including three fifties and a century.
