Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is ruling the roost at the box office and is en route to shattering records. The Telugu movie has generated tremendous buzz among the masses, with fans flocking to the theatres in large numbers to witness the action-drama entertainer.
While the makers have earned big praise from cinema-goers, the movie has become a talking point among cricket fans. It is because two of the film's characters share an uncanny resemblance with Indian cricketers.

Krunal Pandya is the captain of Baroda in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). Baroda have performed admirably under his leadership and are just two wins away from clinching the trophy.
Baroda beat Bengal by 41 runs on Wednesday, December 11, in the quarter-final to advance into the semi-final. The Krunal Pandya-led side will face Mumbai on Friday, December 13, for a place in the final.
Krunal has picked up eight wickets from as many outings at an economy rate of 6.96 this season. On the batting front, he has 106 runs from six innings.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh Iyer was the top performer for Madhya Pradesh in their SMAT 2024 quarter-final against Saurashtra. He registered bowling figures of 3-0-23-2 and played an unbeaten 38-run knock. The left-handed batter was adjudged the Player of the Match as his side won the contest by six wickets.
Iyer has amassed 210 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 161.53. He has also done a decent job with the ball, picking up four wickets in seven innings. Madhya Pradesh will compete against Delhi in the semi-final on Friday.
