"You could have waited for at least one India A match" - MSK Prasad on Nitish Kumar Reddy's selection for Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

Former Indian selector MS Prasad shared his thoughts on Nitish Reddy's selection for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He opined that the selection committee should have waited for India A's first match against Australia A before picking Kumar.

He also spoke about how veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara would have been a valuable addition to the Indian squad for the crucial series. Prasad said to PTI (via Sports Tak):

"Pujara just scored a double hundred in the Ranji Trophy. He brings that experience and solidity which the Indian team requires in Australia. I feel, if they had to pick Nitish Reddy, you could have waited for at least one India A match and taken it from thereon."
