[In Pictures] Ravindra Jadeja shares hilarious photos with statues of Churchill and Roosevelt in London
India star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is celebrating holidays amid the international break ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh in September. The Gujarat-born player has been sharing funny pictures from England over the last few days.
In the latest picture on social media, Jadeja was seen posing between Winston Churchill and Theodore D. Roosevelt on Oxford Street in London. Unveiled in 1995, the bronze sculpture was sculpted by Lawrence Holofcener. The duo, who were leaders of the Allied Forces during World War II, are placed on a bench with a gap for the visitors.
Jadeja captioned his Instagram post on Wednesday, August 14:
“Are you saying something?”

He was recently rested for the three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka, where the Men in Blue lost by 0-2.
“There’s a big Test season coming up” – Ajit Agarkar on why Ravindra Jadeja was rested for the ODI series in Sri Lanka
BCCI’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar recently confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja was rested and not dropped for the ODI series vs Sri Lanka. Agarkar said that the all-rounder will be a vital cog for Team India as they play 10 Tests from September 2024 to January next year. The 46-year-old said (via India Today):
"He has had a terrific World Cup. Not at all dropped. Either of them wouldn't have featured in games had we taken him. There's a big test season coming up. I think probably we should have clarified it when the squad was announced. He is still part of the format. He is a very important player for us."
Ravindra Jadeja has played 72 Tests for India, scoring 3036 runs with the help of four tons and 20 half-centuries. The left-arm spinner has also scalped 294 wickets, comprising 13 five-wicket hauls. With six scalps, Jadeja can become the seventh Indian player to reach 300 wickets in Tests. Earlier this year, he scalped 19 wickets in four Tests against England.
