[In Pictures] Rohit Sharma goes full tilt in practice session ahead of IND vs BAN 2024 1st Test
Indian Test captain Rohit Sharma gave fans a glimpse of his intense training session ahead of the first Test against Bangladesh. The two-match Test series between both nations will kick off on September 19 in Chennai while Kanpur is set to host the second game from September 27.
Rohit last represented the Indian team in the ODI series against Sri Lanka in August. Although he ended as the side's finest batter with 157 runs, the Islanders managed to secure a 2-0 series victory, with the first game ending in a tie.
The Rohit Sharma-led side reached Chennai on September 12, one week ahead of the opening fixture of the series. The following day saw them start their training camp with full vigor. After a day off on Sunday, India were back on the field on Monday (September 16) for their third training session in the build-up to the first Test.
In photos posted on Instagram, Rohit can be seen involved in batting and fielding sessions. One of the pictures also sees him sharing a laugh with assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar and other teammates. The veteran batter also played football and could be seen standing alongside Ravichandran Ashwin and Rishabh Pant in the fifth picture.
