[In Pictures] Same kids pose with Virat Kohli & Hardik Pandya in different jerseys during 2024 T20 World Cup
Team India vice-captain Hardik Pandya recently posed with two kids ahead of their Super 8 games of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. Incidentally, the two kids were also seen posing for photographs alongside ace batter Virat Kohli.
The Men in Blue have had a dream run in the mega event. They finished atop Group A by winning three games, while their last group match against Canada was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to inclement weather.
The team have been in a relaxed mood after a difficult USA leg of the T20 World Cup. They were recently seen unwinding themselves by playing volleyball on the beach ahead of the grueling fixtures.
Ahead of their first Super 8 game against Afghanistan, all-rounder Hardik Pandya was seen posing with two fans for a photograph. One of the fans was spotted wearing the Delhi Capitals (DC) jersey, while the other sported the Indian colors.
Sharing the picture on Instagram, Hardik Pandya wrote:
"Happy to catch up with Ronnie and Marsh, my fans from England."
It is worth noting that ace batter Virat Kohli was also spotted posing for a photograph with the same kids in the team hotel after landing in Barbados. The kids then donned Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings jerseys.
How has Hardik Pandya fared in the T20 World Cup so far?
There were a lot of speculations on Hardik Pandya's form when he was named in India's 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. He had a dismal campaign in his first year with the Mumbai Indians on return in IPL 2024.
However, the all-rounder has breezed past those speculations and is currently India's highest wicket-taker in the tournament alongside Arshdeep Singh. Hardik has picked up seven wickets from three games at an average of 9.28 and an economy rate of 5.41.
While he has been spectacular with the ball, Hardik has had limited opportunities to showcase his talent with the bat. He batted only once against Pakistan and managed to score only seven runs.
He will next be seen in action when India will lock horns with Afghanistan on Thursday, June 20, in Barbados.
