[In pictures] Suryakumar Yadav gets a fresh haircut ahead of Bangladesh T20I series

India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, showcased his fresh haircut on Instagram on Wednesday, October 2. Suryakumar will next be leading India in a three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

The Mumbai cricketer was last seen in action during Round 3 of the 2024 Duleep Trophy, where he played for India B. However, he had a tough match, scoring just 5 and 16 runs in two innings, resulting in a 257-run loss for his team.

The 34-year-old will captain India in his second series as the full-time captain, beginning against Bangladesh on Sunday, October 6, in Gwalior. On Wednesday, he also shared photos of his new haircut in a post featuring hairstylist Aalim Khan.

Meanwhile, the second match of the series is set to take place on October 9 in Delhi, with the final game scheduled for October 12 in Hyderabad.

India clean-swept Sri Lanka in Suryakumar Yadav’s debut series as full-time captain

Team India clinched the 2024 T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma's leadership in Barbados, with Suryakumar Yadav making a significant impact with the bat. He also made a crucial catch on the boundary line off David Miller in the final, helping India secure a seven-run victory.

Following the tournament, Rohit announced his retirement from T20Is, and Suryakumar was named his successor ahead of the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

The Mumbai cricketer rose to the occasion, leading India to a clean sweep against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar was named the Player of the Series for his impressive 92 runs over three matches, and he also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets.
