[In Pictures] Suryakumar Yadav spends time with India U-19 team at NCA

Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav spent some time with the India U-19 team at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) before their series against Australia U-19 begins. The photos of the same were uploaded on social media by the Indian Cricket Team.

The 33-year-old was to play in the ongoing 2024 Duleep Trophy but was ruled out owing to a wrist injury. He is currently spending time in rehabilitation to get back to full fitness before the T20I series against Bangladesh.

Suryakumar met with the U-19 boys and had a conversation with the team. The Indian Cricket Team account on Instagram posted the pictures with the following caption:

"The India Under -19 Boys had an unforgettable experience interacting with India T20 International Captain Surya Kumar Yadav on the sidelines of their camp at the National Cricket Academy as part of their preparations for the series against Australia Under - 19 boys.🙌🙌"

Suryakumar Yadav was last seen in action against Sri Lanka in the T20I series

Suryakumar Yadav has had an eventful year so far. He had a good season with the bat in hand for the Mumbai Indians, scoring 345 runs at an average of 34.20. Yadav also scored a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Post that, he was seen in action for Team India in the 2024 ICC Mens T20 World Cup. Yadav had a terrific campaign batting in the middle order, scoring 199 runs in eight matches at an average of 28.42. He also took the catch to dismiss David Miller in the summit clash against South Africa, helping Team India win by seven runs for their second title in the competition's history.

Suryakumar Yadav most recently played for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Tournament. He will next be seen in action in the T20I series against Bangladesh, starting on October 6.
