[In Pictures] Suryakumar Yadav thanks Mumbai crowd for incredible response to India's T20 World Cup victory parade

Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has thanked the supporters who gathered at the Marine Drive and at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday (July 4) to celebrate India's T20 World Cup victory. The Men in Blue had an open-top bus parade with the T20 World Cup trophy, and the Marine Drive as well as the Wankhede Stadium was flooded with thousands of fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the victorious team and the silverware.

Suryakumar took to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday to share pictures from the celebration. The first photo was a selfie that he took with a section of the crowd. In another photo, Suryakumar posed with captain Rohit Sharma. The other two photos were with him hoisting the trophy and also a top view of how the crowd gathered at Marine Drive.

Here's what Suryakumar Yadav wrote along with the photos:

"Last evening was so surreal! ๐Ÿฅนโ™ฅ๏ธ What a day of joy, emotions and celebrations all around ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐“๐ก๐š๐ง๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ! For the love, for the memories, and for showing what this Cup means to you. It is back home, and it belongs to all of ๐™ฎ๐™คu ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ†"

Suryakumar Yadav made some key contributions to India's T20 World Cup triumph with 199 runs in the tournament. His catch to dismiss David Miller in the last over of the final will go down as one of the greatest moments in India's T20I history.

Like Suryakumar Yadav, even Hardik Pandya thanked the fans

Just like Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya had earlier taken to X to post a video of himself celebrating with the fans gathered at Marine Drive. In an emotional note, here's what he wrote for the fans:

"India, you mean the world to me! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the love.. these are moments that I will never ever forget! Thank you for coming out to celebrate with us, despite the rains! We love you so much! Celebrating with you is why we do what we do! Weโ€™re all champions! All 1.4 billion of us! Thank you Mumbai, thank you India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿฅน"

Hardik Pandya was pretty emotional after the T20 World Cup win and had opened up on the tough time he had faced in the six months leading into the tournament. However, he received a hero's welcome at the Wankhede Stadium as the crowd chanted his name.
