[In Pictures] Team India gears up for 1st Border-Gavaskar 2024-25 Test with a quality practice session in Perth
Team India engaged in a comprehensive practice session on Wednesday, November 13, as they prepare for the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which starts on November 22 in Perth. On Tuesday, November 12, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were among those who attended the optional training session.
However, on Wednesday, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and other key players joined in as the team ramps up its preparations for the crucial series Down Under. Meanwhile, captain Rohit Sharma has not yet joined the team, with uncertainty continuing over his availability for the first Test.
On Wednesday, the ICC took to Instagram to share photos from the visitors' practice session, captioning the post:
“Grind mode on for India in Perth.”
India come into this series after a 3-0 whitewash at home to New Zealand in their recent Test series. With many of their batters falling short in that series, they will be looking to bounce back in the crucial Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
To secure automatic qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, India must win the series by at least 4-0.
