India cricketer Tilak Varma took to social media to share a heartfelt post for Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, who turned 37 on Saturday, December 21. Tilak, who considers Ritika his "Bhabhi" (sister-in-law), marked the occasion with his warm wishes.

Since joining the Mumbai Indians, Tilak has formed a close bond with Rohit’s family. He is frequently seen spending time with Rohit and Ritika’s daughter Samaira during the IPL.

Tilak also has a special milestone celebration called the 'Samaira celebration,' which he dedicates to Samaira. He performed this celebration after scoring his maiden T20I fifty against the West Indies in 2023.

Meanwhile, to mark Ritika's 37th birthday on Saturday, Tilak took to Instagram to share a message, writing:

“To the most loving and pure-hearted @ritssajdeh Bhabhi, Happy Birthday! You’re the coolest. May your day be as beautiful as your soul.”

On the cricketing front, Tilak Varma recently captained Hyderabad in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). The left-handed batter scored 327 runs in six innings, including two fifties and a century.

His standout performance came against Meghalaya, where he remained unbeaten on 151 off 67 balls, hitting 14 boundaries and 10 sixes.

Despite his impressive individual performance, Hyderabad failed to qualify for the next round, finishing fifth in Group A with only three wins from seven matches.


Tilak Varma smashed consecutive centuries in his last international assignment

The Hyderabad batter was last seen in action for India during their tour to South Africa for a four-match T20I series. Batting at No. 4, Tilak scored 53 runs across the first two games, with India winning one and losing the other.

In the third T20I in Centurion, Varma came in at No. 3 and struck his maiden T20I century off 51 balls, finishing unbeaten on 107 off 56. India won the match by 11 runs.

In the final game of the series, he dazzled again, scoring 120* off 47 balls, marking back-to-back centuries. India won the match by 135 runs and clinched the series 3-1.

The 22-year-old has accumulated 616 runs in 20 T20Is, including two fifties and two centuries. Additionally, he has represented India in four ODIs, scoring 68 runs.
