[In Pictures] Travis Head announces birth of baby boy Harrison George Head

Australian batter Travis Head took to social media on Friday, November 8, to announce the birth of his second child with wife Jessica Davies. The couple, who married in April 2023, welcomed their first child, daughter Milla, in September 2022.

The pair has been blessed with a son, Harrison George Head, born on November 4, 2024. The Australian batter shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a picture of his son alongside his wife and daughter.

He captioned the post:

The 30-year-old is on paternity leave and will miss the ongoing three-match ODI series against Pakistan. The hosts made a strong start, winning the opening match in a thrilling finish by two wickets.

Chasing 204, Australian captain Pat Cummins displayed calm under pressure, finishing unbeaten on 32 off 31 balls to steer his team to victory in the series opener.


Travis Head has represented Australia in 156 matches across all formats

The left-hander debuted for Australia in a T20I against India in 2016. Since then, he has played 38 T20Is, amassing 1,093 runs, including five half-centuries.

In addition, Head has represented Australia in 69 ODIs, scoring 2,645 runs at an average of 44.08, with 16 fifties and six centuries. He was part of the Australian squad that won the 2023 ODI World Cup, earning the Player of the Match award in the final against India.

Chasing a target of 241, Head played a match-winning knock of 137 off 120 balls, including 15 fours and four sixes, as Australia triumphed by six wickets with seven overs to spare.

The 30-year-old has also played 49 Tests, scoring 3,173 runs, including 16 half-centuries and seven centuries. Head is set to return to action when Australia hosts India for a five-match Border-Gavaskar Test series, beginning November 22 in Perth.
