Former India skipper Virat Kohli and Karnataka batter KL Rahul were seen sharing food during the rain break on Day 1 (Saturday, December 14) of the third Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). The match is being played at The Gabba in Brisbane.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first. The match was briefly halted due to rain after 5.3 overs but play resumed within 30 minutes. During the delay, veterans Kohli and Rahul were spotted sharing food.

The game was interrupted again due to rain and has not yet resumed. At the time of writing, Australia were 28 without loss after 13.2 overs, with Usman Khawaja (19) and Nathan McSweeney (4) at the crease.
India dominated the first game, while Australia bounced back in the second in the BGT 2024-25
India, coming off a 3-0 clean sweep defeat to New Zealand at home, turned things around in the first Test of the 2024-25 BGT in Perth. After opting to bat first, the visitors were bowled out for just 150. However, stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah led a remarkable comeback, claiming a five-wicket haul as Australia were dismissed for 104.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (161) and KL Rahul (77) then put on a 201-run partnership for the first wicket in the second innings, the highest by an Indian opening pair in Australia. Later, Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 100, scoring his 30th Test century as India set the hosts a target of 534 runs. Australia were bowled out for 238, giving India a comprehensive 295-run victory.
However, the hosts made a strong comeback in the second (pink ball) Test in Adelaide, dismissing India for just 180 in their first innings. Travis Head played a brilliant knock of 140, helping Australia post 337 and gain a crucial 157-run lead.
India struggled again in their second innings, getting bowled out for 175 and setting a modest target of 19. Australia easily chased the target, winning the match by 10 wickets and leveling the five-match series 1-1.
