[In Picture] Virat Kohli does the silence gesture after Ajinkya Rahane's dismissal in RCB vs CSK IPL 2024 match

Virat Kohli was all pumped up during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) IPL 2024 encounter against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 18. He even gestured for the Chennai fans to keep quiet after they lost their third wicket.

The defending champions CSK were required to chase down a 219-run target in the must-win clash. However, RCB needed to win by at least 18 runs to advance to the playoffs.

Chennai lost their skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for a duck on the very first ball of the run chase. The onus was on Ajinkya Rahane to steady the ship for his team following the shaky start.

The veteran batter played an impactful knock for his side, scoring 33 off 22 balls. However, Rahane's promising knock ended in the 10th over after he was caught by Faf du Plessis at mid-off off Lockie Ferguson's bowling.

Kohli was fired up after his side claimed a crucial breakthrough and did the silence gesture to celebrate the wicket.

RCB will finish with 14 points if they trump CSK in the ongoing match, which is also their last league encounter of the season. However, if CSK win the match or reach 201, they will qualify for the playoff, while RCB will be eliminated.
