Bowling first after winning the toss in the first international match played at the new stadium, the Men in Blue cleaned up Bangladesh for 127 in 19.5 overs. The hosts needed only 11.5 overs to gun down the target.

Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh struck in the first over of the match as Litton Das (4) attempted a slog but ended up giving a skier to short cover. The visitors were five down for 57 when a clueless Jaker Ali (8) was cleaned up by Chakravarthy.

Chakravarthy had his third wicket on comeback when Rishad Hossain (11) top-edged a pull to deep midwicket. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (35* off 32) held one end up, but Arshdeep and Hardik Pandya knocked over the tail.
