India will take on Bangladesh in a 2024 T20 World Cup Super Eight clash at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on Saturday (June 22). The two teams are coming after contrasting performances in the mega ICC tournament. The Men in Blue beat Afghanistan by 47 runs, while Bangladesh lost to Australia by 28 runs via DLS method.
The two teams have locked horns four times in T20 World Cups, with India having a 100 percent win record. Rohit Sharma and Co. beat Bangladesh by five runs via the DLS method in the 2022 edition of the T20 tournament.
Overall, India and Bangladesh have played 13 T20Is, with the latter winning just one match by seven wickets in November 2019. Since then, they have lost four games on the trot.

India beat Afghanistan by 47 runs in their last T20 World Cup match in Barbados on June 20.
Batting first, India posted 181/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav starred with the bat, scoring a quickfire 53 runs off 28 balls with the help of three sixes and five boundaries. Hardik Pandya also slammed 32 off 24 deliveries, hitting two sixes and three boundaries. The duo added a 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket to recover the Men in Blue from 90/4.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel chipped in with run-a-ball 24, 20 (11) and 12 (six), respectively. India captain Rohit Sharma and Shivam Dube departed cheaply, scoring 8 (13) and 10 (7), respectively. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi emerged as the leading wicket-takers, picking up three wickets apiece.
In response, Afghanistan were bundled out for 134 in 20 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai (26 off 20), Najibullah Zadran (19 off 17), Gulbadin Naib (17 off 21), and Mohammad Nabi (run-a-ball 14) got starts but failed to take the team over the line. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh were the leading wicket-takers for India, bagging three wickets each, while Kuldeep Yadav scalped two.

Bangladesh’s scorecard from their last 2024 T20 World Cup game
Bangladesh lost to Australia by 28 runs via the DLS method in their last 2024 T20 World Cup match in Antigua on June 20.
Asked to bat first, Bangladesh posted 140/8 in 20 overs. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto top scored with 41 off 36 with the help of one six and five boundaries. Towhid Hridoy also chipped in with 40 off 28, comprising two sixes and as many fours. Taskin Ahmed and Litton Das were the other batters to reach double digits.
Pat Cummins, who took a hat-trick, finished with figures of 3/29, while Adam Zampa bagged two wickets.
In response, Australia were 100/2 after 11.2 overs when rain halted play. David Warner stayed unbeaten on 53 off 35, hitting three sixes and five boundaries. Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell also chipped in with 31 (21) and 14* (six), respectively. Rishad Hossain picked up both wickets for Bangladesh.
