India’s squads for tour of South Africa announced; Suryakumar Yadav to lead in T20Is, KL Rahul to captain ODI team
The BCCI selectors have announced the squads for both white-ball games and Tests for the upcoming tour of South Africa. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20I squad, while KL Rahul has been named the captain of the ODI squad for the three games. Rohit Sharma will captain the team in the Tests.
An official BCCI statement confirmed that Rohit and Virat Kohli have requested a break from the white-ball leg of the tour. The statement added that senior pacer Mohammed Shami is undergoing medical treatment, so his availability is subject to fitness.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson and Rajat Patidar have been named in the ODI squad for the series. Promising batter Sai Sudharsan also finds a place.
