India will be up against Sri Lanka in Match 12 of the ICC Women's 2024 T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, October 9. The Women in Blue must win the game by a signficant margin to stay alive in the race for a place in the semifinals.
India's campaign in the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup got off to a disapponting start as they went down to New Zealand by 58 runs following a shabby all-round effort. They did well against Pakistan to register a six-wicket win and keep their hopes of finishing in the top two of Group A alive.
India's bowlers were highly impressive in their previous match in the Women's T20 World Cup. Pacer Arundhati Reddy starred with 3-19, while Shreyanka Patil picked up 2-12 with her off-spin. The batting department, though, continued to struggle as the Women in Blue needed 18.5 overs to chase a target of 106.

“So far we haven’t batted first. Hence, we want to bat first and put runs on the board.”
