IPL 2025 mega auction final list of 574 players announced; Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul part of marquee sets
The full list of the players who will go under the hammer at the 2025 IPL Auction has been announced. A total of 574 players have been shortlisted for the mega auction.
A total of 1574 players had registered themselves, but the list was trimmed down by 1000 to 574. Barring any last-minute changes, all the shortlisted players will go under the hammer at the auction on November 24 and 25 in Saudi Arabia.
KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant are the three most talked-about names in the auction and they will be in the marquee set, which has been split into two this time. Iyer and Pant have been placed in Marquee Players Set 1, while KL Rahul finds himself in Set 2.
366 of the 574 shortlisted players are Indian, with the remaining 208 are overseas, including three players from associate nations. The auction will see a total of 330 uncapped players go under the hammer, out of which 318 are Indians.
The highest reserve price a player could register themselves under was ₹2 crore, with 81 players putting themselves under the bracket. Among notable absentees, he trio of Jofra Archer, Cameron Green and Ben Stokes opted not to register for the auction this year.
IPL Auction 2025 will be held on November 24 and 25
The much-awaited auction for the 2025 IPL season will be held across two days, starting on Sunday, November 24, and concluding on Monday, November 25. The auction will be held overseas for the second consecutive time, with the Abady Al Johar Arena, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia playing host to the event.
Punjab Kings enter the auction with the highest purse, with a total of ₹110.5 crore to their name while inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals enter the auction with the lowest purse of ₹41 crore.
