IPL 2025 retentions: Full list of players retained by franchises with price tag in INR ahead of IPL 2025 Auction
All 10 IPL franchises confirmed their retention list for the 2025 season on Thursday, October 31. Teams can now look forward to strategizing for the IPL mega auction, which is likely to be held next month.
Taking a look at the IPL 2025 retention list, Mumbai Indians (MI) have spent ₹75 crore for five capped retentions. They have gone for Jasprit Bumrah (₹18 crore), Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya (₹16.35 crore each), Rohit Sharma (₹16.30 crore) and Tilak Varma (₹8 crore).
Shifting focus to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time winners have retained opener-captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ₹18 crore each. Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana has been retained for ₹13 crore, batting all-rounder Shivam Dube for ₹12 crore, while MS Dhoni has been retained as an uncapped player for ₹4 crore.
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have retained six players - Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh even as Shreyas Iyer has been released.
While Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have retained their star batter Virat Kohli for ₹21 crore, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have released KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, respectively.
