"Bowlers stuck to their task and was outstanding to see that"- New Zealand batter Mark Chapman on his team's bowling unit after win vs Pakistan in 3rd T20I
Speaking at the post-match presentation after winning the Player of the Match award, Mark Chapman credited the New Zealand bowlers for setting the tone in the first innings. Reflecting on the win, he said:
"It's always nice to come here, thankfully we could level the series, 1-1 today. We knew, they have a great attack and this score is generally chaseable, but bowlers stuck to their task and was outstanding to see that."
Chapman continued:
"Yesterday, it was slower and we lost wickets in heap, any day, if you have 100 partnership, you give yourself a good chance to win and Foxcroft is relatively new, to bat and put up 100 runs partnership was pleasing. The way Seifert and Robinson set it up, gave us the platform for us to come in and we knew Pakistan's death bowling and it worked out for us."
The two teams will now travel to Lahore for the remaining two matches, which will be played on April 25 and 27.
