Is Glenn Maxwell playing today's RCB vs CSK match in IPL 2024?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has returned to the playing XI for tonight's IPL 2024 clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is hosting the high-octane match between the two teams.
It is a must-win match for RCB to advance to the playoffs. The Royal Challengers also need to overtake CSK's net run rate to be successful in their endeavor. They currently occupy the seventh position in the points table with 12 points from 13 games. The Bengaluru side lost seven of their first nine games, but made a stellar comeback, winning five on the trot to keep their playoff hopes alive.
They will be without Will Jacks for today's match, who performed decently for them at the No. 3 position. He left the team camp earlier this week to join England on national duty. Veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell took his place in the team for the game against CSK.
Maxwell started the season for RCB but was later dropped due to poor performances. He scored only 36 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 97.3, with a highest score of 28.
He will be hoping to overcome the rough patch and contribute to RCB's success in the contest.
