"It's a tribute to you" - Ravindra Jadeja shares a heartwarming message for his mother
Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja recently shared a touching post on social media for his mother, Lata. The cricketer was part of the Indian team that recently won the T20 World Champions in the USA and the West Indies.
Jadeja shared a sketch of him holding the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy with his mother. It is worth noting that Jadeja's mother died in 2005 while he was only 17 years old.
Sharing the picture on Instagram, Ravindra Jadeja wrote:

Ravindra Jadeja announces T20 retirement after World Cup victory
Soon after India won the 2024 T20 World Cup by beating South Africa in the final, celebrated all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his T20I retirement. He is the third Indian cricketer to retire from T20Is after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Jadeja took to Instagram to share the news with fans. In a heartwarming post, he conceded that winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true moment for him. He also thanked everyone for their support and cheers throughout the journey.
“With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals," Jadeja wrote. "Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support."
Since making his T20I debut in 2009, Jadeja has donned the Men in Blue jersey 74 times. He has amassed 514 runs at an average of just over 20 and also picked up 54 wickets. He was India's go-to bowler in T20Is for several years.
He will next be seen in action during the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting from August 2 in Colombo.
