Kanpur weather forecast: What are the chances of rain on Day 3 of the 2nd IND vs BAN 2024 Test?

Shifting the focus to afternoon weather in Kanpur, the prediction says it will be mostly cloudy. The probability of precipitation, however, drops to 25 percent, while the cloud cover is expected to be in the range of 51 percent.


What has happened in the IND vs BAN 2024 Test series so far?

India won the first Test played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai by 280 runs. Sent into bat by Bangladesh, the hosts recovered from 144-6 to post 376 in their first innings as Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored with 113, while Ravindra Jadeja contributed 86.

In reply, Bangladesh folded up for 149 in 47.1 overs as pacer Jasprit Bumrah starred with 4-40. In the second innings, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill struck hundreds as India declared their second innings on 287-4 and set Bangladesh a target of 515. The visitors were all-out for 234 in their second innings as Ashwin claimed 6-88 and Jadeja 3-58.

Bowling first in the second Test in Kanpur, India reduced Bangladesh to 29-2 as Akash Deep dismissed openers Zakir Hasan (0) and Shadman Islam (24). Mominul Haque (40*) and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (31) added 51 for the third wicket before Ashwin trapped the latter lbw.
