KBC comes up with an interesting cricket-related question on MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma
Famous Indian quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati featured a question about the Indian Premier League involving MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. The episode went on air on Tuesday, September 24.
The show is hosted by renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The question asked in the show was:
"Which of the the following sayings is true about the two men in picture?"
An image of Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni was shown before the question was asked. The four options were: They were born in Mumbai; They have played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK); They are IPL winning captains; They wear jersey number 10.
Out of the four options, option C i.e. they are IPL (Indian Premier League) winning captains, is the correct alternative. Both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have won the IPL five times.

Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are the joint most successful captains in the history of the IPL
Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have been central figures in IPL history, leading their respective franchises (CSK and MI) to glory five times. MS Dhoni won the title with Chennai Super Kings for the first time in 2010 and they became the first side in IPL history to defend their title in the following campaign. He also led CSK to the trophy in 2018, 2021, and most recently in 2023.
Rohit Sharma, as a player, has won the IPL six times, with the now Team India captain winning his first IPL with the Deccan Chargers. He moved to the Mumbai Indians in 2011 and was appointed as the skipper of the side in 2013 after a poor first half of the season. He led them to their maiden IPL triumph in that season and followed it up with title wins in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
Both MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are no longer captains of the teams they used to lead.
