"We are looking to put up a good total in the second innings"- Ravindra Jadeja after stumps on Day 2 of 1st IND vs BAN 2024 Test
Speaking after stumps, veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reviewed the action transpired on Day 2. He said:
"I got out at the wrong time, it's part and parcel of the game. We are looking to put up a good total in the second innings, I'm happy with how things went with the ball too. This is my second home, yes. Good opportunity to take 300 wickets on this ground, we need to see, looking forward to put up a lead of 400 plus, come out and bowl them out quickly."
He added:
"It's still good wicket to bat on, but there's something in it for the pace bowlers, odd ball is swinging and it's not that easy to bat on. Ashwin doesn't need any advice (chuckles), I was just telling him that, we don't need to get into any mix-ups, take it easy, take the singles on offer and not run too many. As I said, there's something in it for both the fast bowlers and spinners, all the five bowlers will be in play throughout."
