Lanka Premier League 2024: How to purchase tickets for this tournament?

The Lanka Premier League 2024, a T20 franchise cricket tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), is set to commence on Monday, July 1, and wrap up on Sunday, June 21.

The upcoming season will be the fourth edition of the T20 League. The Jaffna Kings are the most successful team, having won three titles. B-Love Kandy clinched their first title in the 2023 edition, and Wanindu Hasaranga was named Player of the Series, having scored the most runs (279) and taken the most wickets (19).

A total of 24 matches are set to be played among the five teams in a double round-robin and playoffs, including the final on July 21. The R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy will be the three host venues.

Five teams will compete in the tournament: Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, Jaffna Kings, and Kandy Falcons. Each team will have 20 to 24 players, including up to six overseas players, ensuring a blend of local and international talent.

Matheesha Pathirana from Colombo Strikers was the most expensive player in the auction for $120,000. Afghanistan's all-rounder Karim Janat, the priciest overseas player at $80,000, surprised many as he has yet to establish himself internationally.

Thisara Perera will lead the Colombo Strikers, while Mohammad Nabi will captain the Dambulla Sixers. Niroshan Dickwella will head the Galle Marvels, Charith Asalanka will be at the helm of the Jaffna Kings, and Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan captain, will lead the Kandy Falcons. Notable overseas players in the tournament include Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Shadab Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi, Ibrahim Zadran, and Rilee Rossouw.


Lanka Premier League 2024 ticketing details: How to buy tickets?

The tournament will begin on July 1 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, featuring an opening match between the Kandy Falcons and the Dambulla Sixers. Tickets went on sale at 12pm on June 26, and can be purchased on bookmyshow.com.

Sri Lanka's local superstars DJ Mass, Romaine Willis, Apzi, and Yohani are gearing up for captivating performances, accompanied by traditional drummers and dancers.

Ticket prices for the Dambulla leg vary from 200 LKR to 3000 LKR. The most expensive is Grand Stand Level 3 at 3000 LKR. Blocks 'A' and 'B' are priced at 1000 LKR each, while blocks 'C' through 'M' are 400 LKR. The Sigiriya End is the cheapest ticket at 200 LKR.

Similarly, Ticket prices for the Kandy leg range from 200 LKR to 3000 LKR. The Grand Stand Top Level Boxes 1 to 5 are the most expensive, priced at 3000 LKR each. The Grand Stand Top Level A is priced at 1500 LKR. Stands A Lower and B Lower are 750 LKR each, while the Grass Embankment (Score Board End) and Grass Embankment (West) offer the least expensive tickets at 200 LKR each.
