Liam Livingstone crowned No.1 T20 all-rounder in latest ICC rankings following heroics in advanced roleĀ

England all-rounder Liam Livingstone is the new No.1 ICC-ranked all-rounder in T20Is after his stunning displays in the recently concluded series against Australia at home. He took on responsibility as one of the senior batters, and was promoted to No.4, where he scored 37 and 87 across the two matches.

His bowling also has come to the fore, cementing his place as a genuine all-rounder in the side. Capable of bowling both off spin and leg spin, his versatilty was on show in the Australia series as he ended with five wickets in two matches, including a spell of 3-16 in the series opener.

Livingstone's recent displays led to him jumping seven spots in the latest rankings, overtaking the likes of Marcus Stoinis, Sikandar Raza, Shakib Al Hasan and Wanindu Hasaranga among others for the top rank. He currently has a rating of 253, which is 42 higher than the second-placed Marcus Stoinis.

Livingstone's match-winning knock of 87 has also led to his rise in the T20I rankings for batters. He has made a push from the 50th spot to the 33rd spot while Australia wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis breached the top ten. Inglis is now the highest-rated Australian batter after the top-ranked Travis Head.

Inglis, who recently scored a ton during the T20I series against Scotland, continued his fine form a couple of cameos against England. He jumped 13 places to occupy the 10th spot in the ICC rankings.

Adam Zampa climbs to sixth in ICC T20I rankings for bowlers

Australia's white-ball spinner Adam Zampa has had an eventful tour of the United Kingdom so far, accounting for six wickets in five matches, including a match-winning spell of 2-20 against England in Southampton. His recent exploits have led to a slight increase in his rating, resulting in his elevation to the sixth spot in the rankings.

With Zampa claiming the sixth place, the top six ICC ranked T20I bowlers in the world are spinners. The chart is led by Adil Rashid, while the West Indies left-arm spin duo of Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie mark their presence, and so do Rashid Khan and Wanindu Hasaranga.
