Ace Indian batter Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 6 in the first session of Day 1 of the opening Test against Bangladesh. The match is being played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
After the quick dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Kohli was out in the middle and looked in good touch. He pushed Taskin Ahmed towards deep third man for a couple and then to midwicket for three runs. The right-handed batter looked composed before Nahid Rana managed to get the better of him, getting the former Indian skipper caught behind for six.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors had their tail up as Hasan Mahmud dismissed Rohit Sharma (6 off 19), Shubman Gill (0 off 8), and Virat Kohli (6 off 6) to reduce Team India to 34/3.
Since then, Rishabh Pant (33 off 44) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (37 off 62) have added 54 runs for the third wicket to repair the early damage.
Team India are 88/3 after 23 overs when Lunch was taken on Day 1.
