"Looks like a man possessed" - Fans react after Travis Head provides another strong start in ENG vs AUS 2024 2nd T20I
Australian opening batter Travis Head continued his sublime form in the second fixture of the three-match T20I series against England on Friday, September 13. The game is currently taking place at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
Head was supreme with a quickfire knock of 31 off 14 balls, comprising four fours and two sixes. The southpaw displayed an attacking approach to maximise the fielding restrictions and set the stage for the visitors. Interestingly, Head is leading the Australian side in the absence of Mitchell Marsh.
However, a thick outside edge resulted in him getting caught at backward point by Adil Rashid. Brydon Carse, who returned to international cricket after a year, took out the big fish.
The first T20I saw Head slam 59 off 23 balls. Meanwhile, he registered the joint-fastest fifty by an Australian in his 25-ball 80-run knock against Scotland earlier this month.
Fans were ecstatic with Head's impressive start for Australia, and they shared their reactions on X.

"Any bowler who dismisses Travis Head should get an extra bonus reward. Brydon Carse just managed to do that as Head was looking dangerous yet again," one fan posted.
"Travis Head is such a tailor-made intent head for t20 cricket, hardly ghosts run a ball type scores, either ends himself early or burries the opposition in pp itself, nothing in between🔥," a fan tweeted.
"Once again Travis Head came and dominated the English bowlers. Made 31 of 14 balls. He has given the platform for the other batsman to make it big," another posted.

After Head boosted Australia's run-scoring, Matthew Short could not convert his start as he perished for 28 off 24. However, youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk was exceptional with his approach. He hit his maiden half-century, slamming 50 off 31 balls, with four fours and two sixes.
Thereafter, Josh Inglis was measured with his knock of 42 off 26 balls, which helped Australia to continue the momentum. However, the visitors lost two key wickets of Marcus Stoinis (2) and Tim David (1) early, but they ended the innings on a grand note.
Aaron Hardie (20*) and Cameron Green(13*) remained unbeaten to take Australia to 193.
