“Lovely experience” - India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav enjoys Premier League match at Emirates Stadium

India cricket star Suryakumar Yadav was in attendance during Arsenal’s opening Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday, August 17. The right-handed batter was last seen in action during the three-game T20I series against Sri Lanka, which the visitors won 3-0.

The T20I series against the Island nation was the Mumbai cricketer’s first stint as a full-time captain. He was announced as the new skipper in the shortest format of the game after Rohit Sharma bid farewell, having guided India to their second T20 World Cup triumph in Barbados.

Yadav played an important role in the World Cup, scoring 199 runs in eight games. He also took the all-important catch on the boundary off David Miller on the first ball of the last over when South Africa needed 16 to win. Eventually, the Men in Blue won the game by seven runs.

The right-handed batter is currently enjoying his time away from the game in London. On Saturday, Yadav shared videos on Instagram, enjoying the Premier League match at Emirates Stadium. The home side, Arsenal, started their campaign on a winning note, defeating Wolves 2-0.

On his Instagram Stories, the 33-year-old wrote:
