LSG Retention List IPL 2025: Full list of players retained by Lucknow Super Giants, Price tags in INR and Purse remaining

The Lucknow Super Giants have retained five players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. In a huge development, the Lucknow-based franchise has released their captain KL Rahul before the new season.

LSG have retained their Caribbean star Nicholas Pooran for a whopping ₹21 crore. It seems like the Super Giants will appoint Pooran as their new skipper for IPL 2025. Apart from Pooran, they have also retained leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and express fast bowler Mayank Yadav for ₹11 crore each.

Two uncapped Indian players will also continue to play for the LSG team in IPL 2025. Fast bowler Mohsin Khan and all-rounder Ayush Badoni have been retained for ₹4 crore each.

Since LSG have retained five players, they can use one RTM card at the upcoming mega auction. The good thing for LSG is that they have retained only three capped players, which is why they can use the RTM card on another capped player. They have the option to use RTM on KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Devdutt Padikkal, Mark Wood, Shamar Joseph or even Quinton de Kock.

LSG purse for IPL 2025 Auction

The Lucknow Super Giants have ₹69 crore remaining in their auction purse after the five retentions. They still have to sign at least six-seven players who can fit into their first-choice playing XI. The mega auction will likely take place in November 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
