"Make your comeback greater than your setback" - Hardik Pandya posts inspiring video after 2024 T20 World Cup win

Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya had a rollercoaster ride in the last six months. From the downs with the Mumbai Indians in the IPL to the highs of winning the T20 World Cup for India, he has seen it all in the said time.

Hardik was traded to Mumbai from the Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2024 and was made the captain, replacing Rohit Sharma. The decision didn't bode well with fans and they booed him throughout the season. It took a toll on his performance and the franchise finished last in the points table.

However, Hardik scripted a dramatic comeback in the T20 World Cup and was one of the best performers throughout the tournament. He scored 144 runs in six innings at a strike rate of over 150 and also picked up 11 wickets, including three in the final against South Africa.

Hardik Pandya was received well by the same fans who booed him during IPL 2024. The Baroda-born cricketer even looked emotional after the victory and during the celebrations in Mumbai.

The ace all-rounder has now shared an inspirational video where he is seen undergoing hard work to overcome difficult times. Hardik captioned the video:

"Make your comeback greater than your setback. Always ✊🇮🇳."

Hardik Pandya to lead India against Sri Lanka - Reports

Hardik Pandya could emerge as one of the front-runners to lead India during the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, according to a PTI report. Wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul is another contender for the leadership role. Senior cricketers, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, will likely be rested for the series.

While Hardik was Rohit's deputy in the T20 World Cup 2024, Rahul led the Men in Blue during India's last ODI assignment against South Africa in December 2023.

India will play three ODIs against Sri Lanka, scheduled to commence on August 2.
