"Hope to continue like this for the rest of the summer"- England captain Ben Stokes after win vs West Indies in 1st Test

At the post-match presentation, England captain Ben Stokes reflected on the win and said:

"To come out here and put in a performance like that is really special! I think before the game started, it was great to see two young guys receive their caps. And both Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson have backed it up! Gus' pace is a bonus, but he is incredibly skillful, taking 12 wickets in debut at Lord's is an amazing start! Great to be able to come back and contribute with the ball, hope to continue like this for the rest of the summer."

On his retiring teammate James Anderson, he continued:

"I can say things for about 50 minutes for James Anderson, but just the amount of games, the number of wickets, just incredible! For us to keep him in the dressing room, for our youngsters to learn from him, words fall short! The desire to get better every single time, even at this age and stage of his career, he wanted to get better! It's been a career par excellence!"

The second Test between the two teams will commence on July 18 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
