"Mike Tyson v YouTuber" - Kevin Pietersen takes a dig at Jake Paul ahead of high-profile bout

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen took a dig at Jake Paul ahead of the YouTuber-turned-boxer's high-profile bout against former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The much-anticipated fight is set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the United States, on Saturday, November 16.

Taking to the microblogging platform X, Pietersen seemed unimpressed by Tyson's opponent, addressing Paul as a 'YouTuber.' He also added multiple sleeping emojis while commenting on the bout. The cricketer-turned-commentator wrote:

"Mike Tyson v YouTuber 🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱."

The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson bout marks Tyson's return to the boxing ring after 19 years. It is worth mentioning that while Tyson's last professional fight came in 2005, he featured in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. The contest ended in a draw.

The contest between Paul and Tyson was initially announced for July 20, 2024. However, the match was postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up. Tyson's professional record stands at 50-6, including 44 knockouts and two no-contests.

Paul, on the other hand, has a record of 10-1, with seven knockouts. His solitary defeat to date came against Tommy Fury in February 2023. He comes into the bout against Tyson with three successive wins to his name.

"Three rounds or less" - Mike Tyson's son's prediction for Jake Paul bout

Tyson's son Amir has predicted that his father would dominate the bout against Jake Paul. He suggested that the 'Iron Mike' would come out on top of the encounter.

Amir also reckoned that the fight would end within the first three rounds. In a video shared by 'Most Valuable Promotions' on Instagram, he predicted:

"Tyson, knockout/TKO. Three rounds or less."

The fight between Paul and Tyson will have eight two-minute rounds instead of the standard three-minute rounds. The match will be broadcast live on the streaming platform Netflix.
