"He's the only game-changer" - Mohammed Siraj on Jasprit Bumrah's impactful spell in the 2024 T20 World Cup final
Speaking at a post-match interview of the 2024 T20 World Cup final, an emotional Mohammed Siraj expressed his delight over the team's emphatic victory in the summit clash.
He lauded pace-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for turning things around at a crucial juncture. Suggesting that he felt that only Bumrah could swing the pendulum in India's favor in the death overs, Siraj said:
"My only belief was on Jassy (Bumrah) bhai. He's the only game-changer. Whatever I thought exactly happened. Unbelievable feeling guys, can't explain. Last World Cup I lost the final. Every professional cricketer wants to win the World Cup final. I'm grateful I'm here and thankful."
South Africa seemed to be in the pole position at the 15th over mark, needing a run-a-ball 30 with six wickets in hand. However, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh showed exemplary composure under pressure, helping India clinch victory.
