Mohammed Siraj vs Arshdeep Singh: Who has been bought at a higher price in IPL 2025 Auction?

Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh were expected to be in great demand at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The two bowlers were part of the proceedings on the first day of the two-day event on Saturday, November 24.

Arshdeep Singh's name was drawn first among the two. The left-arm pacer sparked an intense bidding war featuring the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH).

SRH seemed to have secured the pacer's services. However, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) used their Right to Match (RTM) card to re-sign the talented youngster for a whopping ₹18 crore.

While Mohammed Siraj's name also piqued the interest of teams like GT, CSK, and RR, it was Arshdeep who emerged as the more expensive buy out of the two. Siraj was ultimately signed by the Gujarat-based side for ₹12.25 crore.

It is worth mentioning that Arshdeep is the leading wicket-taker among pacers for India in T20Is, with 95 scalps to his name from 60 outings. Siraj, on the other hand, has featured in just 16 T20Is and has 14 wickets to his name.

Arshdeep was the second-highest wicket-taker in India's four-match away T20I series against South Africa earlier this month, finishing with eight wickets. Siraj is currently part of India's playing XI in the side's ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series opener against Australia in Perth.
