“My brother from another mother”: DJ Bravo extends birthday wish to MS Dhoni

Former West Indian player and current bowling coach of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), DJ Bravo, shared a video on Instagram to extend birthday wishes to MS Dhoni. The former Indian captain turned 43 on July 7.

His wife, Sakshi Dhoni, posted a video of the keeper-batter cutting a cake to celebrate the occasion in the presence of Bollywood icon Salman Khan. Bravo and MS Dhoni have been close friends for a very long time.

The West Indian all-rounder shared a video on Instagram featuring numerous clips of MS Dhoni. Meanwhile, the song used in the video titled ‘Helicopter-7’ was sung by Bravo. The video ended with the message, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MSD THALA.” DJ Bravo captioned the video:

"Happy Birthday Skipper! @mahi7781. MY brother from another mother enjoy!"

MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2024. He remains the only Indian captain to win the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Dhoni was last seen in action during IPL 2024. The former CSK captain scored 161 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 220.5.

Among the many cricketers who wished Dhoni on his birthday was Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The left-handed batter made his international debut under Dhoni. Both players have been part of the CSK for over a decade and have won many trophies together.

In his Instagram post, the all-rounder wrote that Dhoni is his favourite person in cricket. Jadeja shared the photo from the IPL 2023 final, where Dhoni joyfully lifted Jadeja after the latter led CSK to victory over the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Indian all-rounder wrote:
