Harshit Rana proved costly for the visitors on Day 2 of the second Test between India and Australia in Adelaide on Saturday, December 7. The speedster failed to deliver with the ball, returning wicketless in his first 16 overs, conceding 86 runs. He was smacked for three boundaries in his 16th over before being replaced by Mohammed Siraj.

Harshit had bagged four wickets in the first Test in Perth, with the visitors winning the contest by 295 runs. The speedster, however, has looked clueless in the first innings of the pink ball Test.

Harshit Rana returned wicketless as Australia extended their lead past the 100-run mark in the second Test on Day 2. Travis Head has scored a century, while Marnus Labuschagne chipped in with a half-century.

At the time of writing, Australia were 282-6, with Head and skipper Pat Cummins at the crease. Alex Carey was the last batter to be dismissed, caught by Rishabh Pant off Mohammed Siraj. Jasprit Bumrah has been the leading wicket-taker for the tourists, picking up three wickets so far.
