"Never thought a guy sitting across the street would get in touch"- Suryakumar Yadav's wife Devisha opens up on her first meeting with star batter

Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav's wife Devisha Shetty recently took to Instagram to share a small anecdote on her first meeting with her husband. Devisha and Suryakumar studied in the same college and that's where the cricketer approached her first.

On her Instagram story, Devisha shared a post which had the following quote:

"It's crazy how you meet the love of your life on some random day."

Adding to this, Devisha wrote about a random day when she was getting late to attend her college classes. It was then that Suryakumar Yadav approached her and they became friends. They tied the knot on July 7, 2016, and are happily married.

Devisha wrote:

"A random day rushing to college with oil in my hair, never thought that a guy sitting across the street would get in touch with me and would one day be my husband and the most important person in my life! Crazy!"

Devisha Shetty overjoyed at Suryakumar Yadav becoming India's T20I captain

Last week, Devisha Shetty took to Instagram to express her happiness at her husband Suryakumar Yadav getting appointed India's T20I captain. She shed light on the amount of hard work the Mumbai-born player had put in for his country and how richly he deserved the honor.

Here's what Devisha Shetty wrote:

"When you started playing for India, we never imagined this day would come! But god is great and everyone gets the reward of their hard work and diligence in due time. So proud of you and how far you've come but this is just the beginning of your legacy. Long way to go."

Suryakumar has said on several occasions how his wife Devisha has played a crucial role in keeping him humble.
