New Zealand's white-ball fixtures for Sri Lanka series announced
The fixtures for New Zealand's upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka have been announced by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Monday, October 14. The Blackcaps will be facing the hosts in a two-match T20I series followed by three ODIs.
The Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla will play host to the T20Is and the ODI series opener. The second and third ODIs have been scheduled at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The tour kicks off with the first T20I on November 9, while the second T20I will be held on November 10.
Also, the ODI series opener is on November 13 after which the two sides will face each other in the remaining 50-over clashes on November 17 and 19, 2024, respectively.

Sri Lanka whitewashed New Zealand 2-0 in the Test series
New Zealand toured Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series in September. Both games were played at the picturesque Galle International Stadium. Led by Dhananjaya de Silva, they went on to register a 63-run victory over the Kiwis in the first game.
They further extended their dominance by producing a dominating display of cricket in the second Test match thereby winning it convincingly by an innings and 154 runs to clinch the series 2-0.
Sri Lanka are currently up against the West Indies in a three-match T20I series at home. Charith Asalanka's men lost the opening encounter against the Men in Maroon by five wickets on Sunday, October 13 in Dambulla. After the T20Is, both sides will be featuring in the three ODIs in Pallekele.
Meanwhile, New Zealand will be heading to Sri Lanka upon the completion of their upcoming three-match Test series against India which begins on Thursday, October 16 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The action will then shift to Pune and Mumbai for the second and third Test matches.
